Tualatin Sherwood Corporate Center

Sherwood, OR

Tualatin Sherwood Corporate Center is a new 32-acre multi-building commercial development located in Sherwood, Oregon. Work includes complete site development for over 500,000 square feet of commercial space. The project was started in late October of 2020 and the Kerr army took over sitework operations in order to get the site stabilized to allow operations to continue through the winter.

Hillsboro, Oregon

Reed’s Crossing is the largest mixed use,master-planned community in the Portland metro area, with plans to offer 2,800 single-family and 940 multifamily residences on approximately 463 acres, including more than 30 acres of commercial/mixed space to bring shopping and services right into the community.

Scouters Mountain

Happy Valley, Oregon

Scouters Mountain is multi-phased residential development in Happy Valley. This phase of construction created 220 lot including on-site and off-site infrastructure for streets and underground utilities. Construction involved clearing 53 acres of hillside timber and excavating over 200,000 cubic yards of on-site material, installation of over 46,000 lineal feet of sanitary sewer, storm sewer and waterlines, 150,000 tons of crushed rock and 12,000 tons of asphalt paving. High moisture content soils required cement treatment to allow construction to extend into the winter months. Due to the hillside conditions, erosion control and sediment control required large storm detention and treatment facilities. Other work included retaining walls, pedestrian bridges and neighborhood parks.

Mountainside High School

Beaverton, Oregon

Kerr Contractors was the selected site work contractor for the development of the new South Cooper High School in Beaverton Oregon for Hoffman Construction. The $185 Million Project is the largest school in the state of Oregon by capacity and building size. 500,000 CY of earth was moved including elements of hard rock excavation to grade the 47 acre site. The project included underground utilities like sanitary sewer, storm water and waterlines & connections. Public sanitary trunk lines and a 24” water transmission main allow for the ongoing development in the surrounding community. We developed an aggregate base for new streets and parking areas and also built 35,000 square feet of MSE retaining walls to maximize the playing surface for over 10 acres of artificial sports fields

Intermodal Yard

Portland, Oregon

This intermodal yard is located in Portland, Oregon. The scope of work was the redevelopment of a 47 acre, 100 year-old rail yard. Work included the demolition of existing buildings and rail facilities and construction of a new administration building, new entry and exit portals, new yard entrance, new intermodal truck access and new rail facilities. Demolition activities expose significant amounts of remnant steel and other debris which required active efforts to separate from the existing subsurface soils. Soil conditions and schedule required extensive cement treatment of on-site to obtain the necessary strength during all weather conditions.

Clackamas Corporate Park

Clackamas, Oregon

This site development is within the former industrial area of Clackamas. Work for this project included excavation of on-site material for surcharing the proposed building areas. Kerr Contractors processed the materials from the existing and created surcharges to reuse the existing rock/cobble materials for use a structure fill and base rock to allow construction to proceed through the winter months. Other work included nearly 10,000 lineal feet of sanitary sewer, storm sewer and waterline including two pump stations, over 10,000 tons of base rock and construction of stormwater detention facilities.
