Tualatin Sherwood Corporate Center is a new 32-acre multi-building commercial development located in Sherwood, Oregon. Work includes complete site development for over 500,000 square feet of commercial space. The project was started in late October of 2020 and the Kerr army took over sitework operations in order to get the site stabilized to allow operations to continue through the winter.
This intermodal yard is located in Portland, Oregon. The scope of work was the redevelopment of a 47 acre, 100 year-old rail yard. Work included the demolition of existing buildings and rail facilities and construction of a new administration building, new entry and exit portals, new yard entrance, new intermodal truck access and new rail facilities. Demolition activities expose significant amounts of remnant steel and other debris which required active efforts to separate from the existing subsurface soils. Soil conditions and schedule required extensive cement treatment of on-site to obtain the necessary strength during all weather conditions.
This site development is within the former industrial area of Clackamas. Work for this project included excavation of on-site material for surcharing the proposed building areas. Kerr Contractors processed the materials from the existing and created surcharges to reuse the existing rock/cobble materials for use a structure fill and base rock to allow construction to proceed through the winter months. Other work included nearly 10,000 lineal feet of sanitary sewer, storm sewer and waterline including two pump stations, over 10,000 tons of base rock and construction of stormwater detention facilities.
We are passionate about what we do every day. Our five Core Values are the cornerstone which we refer to as “The Kerr Way”. These Core Values provide, without question, the standards by which we conduct ourselves.
