Clearing the brush and trees on the 56 acre site began in February 2019. The heart of the job is excavating over 700,000 cubic yards of material making way for a third, southbound, truck climbing lane. The site consists of many challenges including steep terrain, rock excavation, a creek realignment, box culvert installation, retaining walls, horizontal drains and repaving several miles of I-5.

Despite these challenges, the Kerr team has successfully moved over 50,000 CY of material to-date and is continuing to increase production each day.
