Oregon Ballot Measure 118

Hidden Sales Tax

Oregonians will be asked in November to vote on Measure 118. We will be asked to either support or oppose: Increasing the corporate minimum tax on sales exceeding $25 million by 3%, removing the minimum tax cap, and distributing increased revenue to Oregon residents who spend more than 200 days in the state. A yes vote would provide around $1,600 to all Oregon residents of what initiative supporters call free money. This ballot measure is a sales tax in disguise and will raise consumer prices, make Oregon businesses less competitive against out-of-state companies, and drive employers out of state. Kerr Contractors is a business targeted by this initiative, and we urge you to oppose Ballot Measure 118 to keep Oregon businesses competitive and to keep Oregon jobs.
