    Segment 3B Waterline Wilsonville, Oregon. This project involved installation of a approximately 2,500 lineal feet of new 48" welded steel waterline through a sensitive area near the Boeckman Creek Slough and Wetland. The new waterline is an extension of the existing 48" waterline installed by Kerr Contractors in 2002. Work areas were limited and trench conditions required extensive dewatering during pipe installation. Erosion control and protection of the sensitive work areas and the surrounding wetland areas was a project priority.

    Large Pipe Facilities Hood River, Oregon. In October 2012, Farmers Irrigation District converted 14,350 feet of Lowline Canal with 42 and 36-inch diameter pipe, thus fully enclosing the entire canal. Previous canal failures negatively impacted irrigated agriculture in Hood River County and made District operations very difficult, and often dangerous. The Low Line canal was over a hundred years old. This fast-tracked project required that approximately three miles of pipe be installed in a 15 day work window to avoid disruption to the district.

    Broadway Reservoir Transmission Albany, Oregon. This project for the City of Albany, included the construction of approximately 3250 LF of a 30” HDPE waterline crossing under the Calapooia and Willamette Rivers in for the City of Albany. The project includes an additional 1500 LF of traditional open cut installation of 30” HDPE waterlines with concurrent connections to existing water mains. Crews recently completed the drilling of the river crossing and the pipe installation. Completion of the river crossing included a 20 hour, continuous operation to install the pipe under the river.

    Ridgewood View Park Reservoir & Transmission Main, Beaverton, Oregon. Kerr Contractors performed the installation of over 6,600 lineal feet of welded steel water transmission main to provide improved connections for the new reconstruction of an 8 million gallon reservoir. Work included two major connections including installation of the new transmission main through residential streets including restoration. Project impact OR8 in Cornelius for ODOT. This project required extensive utility installation including sanitary sewer, storm drain and waterlines as well as franchise utilities. Along the busy section of Tualatin Valley Highway, a major east-west connector in Washington County, involved extensive traffic control and phasing to mimimze disruptions to the traveling public. Roadway improvements included street widening, curbs, gutters, sidewalks and landscape planters.

    Derry Dell Sanitary Sewer, Tigard, Oregon. Like many urban streams, Derry Dell Creek suffered from increasing runoff that incised the channel and eroded the banks so severely that an important sanitary sewer main was at risk and adjacent landowners were rapidly losing property. The project restored and enhanced riparian and wetland area at the confluence of Derry Dell and Fanno Creeks, realigning and restoring 1,120 feet of degraded, channelized, and incised stream channel. Additionally, the project enhanced 0.62 acres of wetland and floodplain, creating an additional 56,000 cubic feet of extra floodplain storage. Some 5.1 acres of the site were revegetated with native plant species, and wildlife habitats were created with the installation of over 90 pieces of large wood in the creek channel and floodplain.

    Northwest Groveland Drive to Helvetia Road.  Washington County, Oregon.  This project constructed a new two lane roadway that realigned Groveland Drive starting east of Groveland Road and re-connecting to Helvetia Road at the current intersection with Schaaf Road. The new roadway includes two travel lanes along with a ditch and culvert system that will route stormwater runoff through a water quality swale prior to discharging off the site. The project also replaced the existing bridge with an 15 ft x 8 ft Aluminum Arch culvert on Helvetia Road at Waible Creek.  The replacement of the culvert was unique in that we prebuilt sections in the project staging area and then carried them in with a loader and it was backfilled with a low density Cellular concrete.  Key items of work included  9,250 SY of Cement Treated base 14 inches in depth, 625 cy of low density cellular concrete, 300 ft of 15 ftx8ft Aluminum Culvert, 2,900 Tons of HMAC.
